What is RSA Fall?
Our FREE in-house Rebel Song Academy Fall program is ideal for young people of any level of musical experience interested in collaborating with others under the direction of industry professionals. The environment is fun, friendly, and expressive!
- Dive into the intricacies of songwriting, production, and recording, refining your craft alongside professional mentors
- Gain exclusive access to our state-of-the-art recording studio, The LAB, for creating an original, professionally mixed, and mastered song for release
- Perform your original song at a professional venue at the end of the program!

Rebel Song Academy
Tuesdays, 6–8 PM | Sept. 8–Dec. 5
Ages 13–20
Our regular RSA program is for young musicians who sing, play an instrument, produce, or make music regularly and want to dive deeper.
Students will work collaboratively to develop their songwriting and music-making skills while creating their own original music.
No prior songwriting experience is required!
Rebel Song Academy: Launch
Wednesdays, 6–8 PM | Sept. 9–Dec. 5
Ages 9-13
Launch is our new RSA offering designed specifically for younger musicians who are interested in exploring original songwriting and music creation.
Students will learn the foundations of songwriting in a supportive, collaborative environment while developing their own ideas and creative voice.
No prior songwriting experience is required!

The Rebel Song Academy: A 12-Week Music Camp with an Innovative Approach
The Rebel Song Academy is at the heart of our programing at Art as Mentorship. This youth music camp in Kansas City helps young artists explore their full potential through creativity and mentorship opportunities—fostering their inherent sense of exploration and achievement.
About The Rebel Song Academy
The Academy is led by Art as Mentorship staff supported by a network of Grammy Award-winning professionals in the music industry who mentor the young artists.
Our curriculums guide participants through the entire artistic process, building life and career skills as we collaborate through music writing, recording, producing, and promoting—all consistent with modern industry practices. It’s our vision that these skills will project the next generation forward on their personal path to write their own success story.
Born from a collaboration of more than 30 leads from various fields, our curriculum is based in mental health principles, fostering a sense of self-worth, creativity, and accomplishment. By selecting students from diverse and wide-ranging backgrounds, we are fostering new ideas and representation into the next generation of artists in our community.

We C.A.R.E. Deeply
From the initial creative spark, to sharing their art with the world, young artists need a village of mentors and peers to help them find individual success. Art as Mentorship has designed The C.A.R.E. Method to deconstruct the entire creative process in music to include:
- Creation – Harness the fundamental creative spark.
- Alchemy – Find the right elements to make magic.
- Release – Design an intentional plan to share your creation.
- Experiment – Enter the life-long journey of building authentic audiences.
